The Cote D’ Ivoire ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Kalilou Traore has called for greater collaboration between his country and Nigeria which in turn would foster an enabling environment for the private sector of both nations to thrive. He said that the business climate in his country was conducive for businesses to thrive and prosper.

The Ambassador was speaking when he received a delegation from First Class Management and Leadership Institute Ltd/Gte, otherwise known as FCMLI Africa on Business when they paid him a courtesy call in Abuja.

The FCMLI team was led by its Africa country director and head, Africa Operations, Mr Byron Isi and Ms. Julia Chigbue, chief operating officer (COO).

The Embassy’s commercial counsellor, Monsieur Abre Nantcho Martins was also in attendance.

The Ambassador described Cote D’ Ivoire as a rewarding business destination for any investor in critical sectors of the economy not only as part of ECOWAS regional business hub but Africa and beyond stressing that the people of Cote D’Ivoire are peace loving and accommodating to genuine investors, professionals and visitors which he said has made the country a global business choice.

Ambassador Traore assured the delegation that any business proposal received on mutual relations would be reviewed on its own merit and appropriate decision made within the embassy’s mission and budget criteria.

Earlier, Mr Isi informed the ambassador that FCMLI Africa was on a mission of interfacing with nations across Africa and regional organisations, such as ECOWAS to pursue a collaborative effort in the area of harnessing innovative resource management and astute leadership competencies at various levels of public/private partnerships across countries of Africa, using Nigeria as initial spring board for ECOWAS and the rest of Africa.

He also described FCMLI Africa, as a first class platform poised to carry out not only professional competencies but also promote trade including inter-agency networking and bi-lataral business consultancy.

Mr Isi used the opportunity of the visit to brief the Embassy officials on the programmes of the institute which bordered on raising the standard of management and leadership projects across public and private sector operations adding that mutual benefits would accrue to stakeholders if the lofty ideals of the institute were achieved across African borders.

Also speaking at the occasion, Ms Chigbue sought the support of the diplomat in giving FCMLI Africa opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the business relations of his country and ECOWAS as a whole, including private/public sector interface.

Isi also showcased a catalogue of the second edition of six (6) books on leadership under the stable of FCMLI Africa, while promising to make them available in good quantity to the embassy.
