Leadership institute gets new CEO
First Class Management and Leadership Institute Ltd/Gte, FCMLI, a strategic research and implementation body on the creation of optimal competencies in management and leadership has appointed Mr Byron Isi, it’s indigenous country director
The appointment took effect from February 2, 2023.
Mr Isi comes with extensive work experience from the services of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC, as Deputy Director with Directorate capacities of the public service
A statement from the chief operating officer, Ms. Julia Chigbue said the appointment was to raise the bar of Africa’s management and leadership discourse to enviable standards through collaborations and partnership, adding “It is time to invest in the way we manage or lead”.
This view was also supported by Foreign Direct Investment Network, FIN, which applauded the setting up of the institute.
According to FCMLI, FIN provided the needed perspectives in arriving at a holistic African view of the Institute.
The institute said it has lined up a number of events as could be gleaned from its website at http://www.fcmli.com.
The statement further noted that the institute would initiate policies and build virtual operations that promote effective development of Africa’s best in management and leadership vision.
In the appointment letter to the new country director, the FCMLI requested the new helmsman to bring his influential international exposures, at the highest levels, to bear on his new role.
Byron Isi is a multi-disciplinary scholar, and author of six leadership books, Leading Edge and Leaders’ Guide Series and has also represented Nigeria in different fora abroad. He has since resumed full operations in Abuja.
